Office Policies
Financial Policy
We appreciate your confidence in choosing our providers to meet your healthcare needs. We are committed to your treatment being successful. Please understand that payment of your bill is considered a part of your treatment. It is imperative that you give accurate and updated insurance and personal information at each visit. Many managed care plans have strict guidelines regarding timely filing which makes collecting this information at your visit a necessity. You are responsible for any balance on your account after 90 days of submission of claim to insurance company, whether your insurance has paid or not.
Our providers are in network with most insurance companies. We do not participate or file claims to workers compensation or auto insurance. All copayments, deductibles, coinsurance, and/or non-covered services are due at time of service. Inform the office if you have a HRA/HSA and if money is available. It is your responsibility to check with your insurance company prior to services being rendered to determine if services will be covered. Review your insurance plan to determine if laboratory and pharmacy services are covered in the office. If you do not have a valid insurance card at time of service, payment is due in full.
We accept cash, check, Visa, MasterCard, and Discover for payment. All returned checks will incur a $30.00 service charge. If you incur a balance with the office, communication with the billing office is essential if payment arrangements are needed. Failure to pay will result in collection agency involvement and a $50.00 service charge will be added to your account. You may also be responsible for any court costs involved. Dr. Baggett/Dr. Campbell reserves the right to discharge you from the practice for nonpayment.
Missed Appointments
There is a $50.00 charge for appointments that are not cancelled or rescheduled 24 hours in advance. Please contact the office by phone or the patient portal to cancel your appointment. This fee must be paid in full prior to being seen. If this policy is abused, Dr. Baggett/Dr. Campbell reserves the right to dismiss you from the practice.
Prescription Refills
The best way to prevent any complications with refilling your medications is to make sure you request needed refills during your office visit. If you are in need of a refill between visits with your physician, please contact the office or send a request through our patient portal. Requests from the pharmacies will not be honored as they are done usually without the patient’s knowledge. Please allow 48 hours to process your request. Requests for refills may not be honored if you have missed follow up appointments.
After Hours Policy
If you have a medical emergency, please call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room. If you need to speak to the physician on call, please call 478-953-4844 and leave a message. We cannot return calls to if you do not accept calls from a blocked number. You may also use our patient portal to send non emergent messages to the office. Non emergent messages will be addressed at the next business day.
Please be advised that we are not able to diagnose and treat new medical complaints over the phone. Antibiotics and other medications will not be called in without an office appointment.
